The consultation
Telemedicine is the set of technologies that allow medical care to be provided remotely, today called digital health.
A complete clinical evaluation
The consultation is a complete, holistic and multidisciplinary clinical evaluation: your personal and family history, risk factors and your current and previous clinical situation. When necessary, clinical cases are discussed with medical consultants from different specialties.
Dr. Ana Rita Andrade, a General and Family Medicine doctor, provides the latest pre-clinical and clinical information on cannabinoid treatments, their risks and benefits, and follows the clinical evolution of conditions covered by the Infarmed indications.
All clinicians at Kanab Clinic are registered with the Portuguese Medical Association and the Portuguese Health Regulatory Authority.
Documents to prepare
- An up-to-date list of your medicines and doses
- Medical reports and test results
- Information about previous treatments
- Any allergies or adverse reactions
- Any CBD or other cannabinoid products you use
Missing some documents does not prevent you from requesting a consultation.
By phone or video call
Consultations are carried out by phone or video call via WhatsApp, Zoom, Google Teams or Skype and last 45 to 60 minutes. Follow-up consultations are then scheduled to reassess you and your clinical response.
When a remote assessment is not enough, the doctor may recommend an in-person examination, further tests or an assessment by another professional.
Prepare the video call
- Choose a private, quiet place
- Check your internet connection, camera and microphone
- Have your medical documents at hand
- Do not record the consultation without authorisation
